How to Set Up Task Rewards for Kids

Rewarding Kids for Chores

FamBoards includes a built-in reward system that turns chores into a motivating game for kids.

Enabling Rewards

When creating or editing a task, toggle Has Reward and set the number of points. Higher-effort chores can earn more points.

Point Examples

• Make bed — 5 points
• Empty dishwasher — 10 points
• Clean bathroom — 20 points
• Mow the lawn — 30 points

Reward Refresh Periods

Admins can configure how often reward points reset — weekly, monthly, or never. This lets you create weekly allowance cycles or cumulative savings goals.

Viewing Rewards

Kids can see their total points on their dashboard. Parents can view all kids' reward balances from the task management page.
